For specific issues & to support training / exercise

A remedial massage appointment includes an in-depth consultation to understand a particular issue or injury and treatment tailored to each client.

The treatment may include effective techniques such as:

  • myofascial release
  • trigger point therapy
  • mobilisations
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)

Whether you're sporty or not, if you have a particular issue or injury, you might benefit from this. Do get in touch if you have questions and want to know more.

Results-orientated treatment

It has proven successes in supporting a wide range of issues, including:

  • carpal tunnel syndrome
  • shoulder dislocation
  • arthritis
  • chronic back pain
  • increased training intensity

As with any appointment, there's a general consultation form to fill out to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you. There's then more discussion around your issue and its history and some physical tests to look at range of movement and any discomfort.  This allows the massage treatment to be individually tailored and allows re-assessment to review progress both within an appointment and across a series of appointments.

Before the treatment starts, the therapist will explain the treatment plan and make sure you're completely happy and understand. Due to the techniques used in a remedial appointment, there's often more for the client to do - more turning over, moving about and pushing against resistance for stretches, but the therapist will ensure the experience is still a relaxing and enjoyable one.
